Gochujang
Korean Bbq Sauce

Ingredients

14 pitted dried dates
1/2 cup water
4 TBSPN Sunny’s Teriyaki Sauce
4 TBSPN Sunny’s Kimchee Seasoning

Preparation

Step 1

Soak dates in hot water for 30 minutes, drain well.

Step 2

In a separate bowl, whisk Sunny’s Kimchee Seasoning and Sunny’s Korean Teriyaki Sauce together.

Step 3

Combine all ingredients in a food processor and puree until texture is smooth.

Step 4

Add more of Sunny’s Korean Teriyaki Sauce if consistency is too thick for your liking.

Step 5

Keep refrigerated.

Gochujang is a deliciously spicy and sweet condiment that can be used as a dipping sauce, marinade, for grilling and basting, and of course to compliment Bibimbap. It also gives American staples like burgers, chicken wings, spaghetti, and meatloaf a nice kick! Traditionally made with rice and fermented soybeans, we’ve alternated dates in for a gluten free option.
